Paterangi News.

The quarterly meeting of the school committee was held on Friday evening, there being present: Messrs Macky, Russell, and Webb. Before proceeding to the ordinary business the chairman mentioned the sad loss which one of the members had sustained and moved to the effect that a letter of condolence be sent Mr Sing and family. This was carried unanimously, and the secretary was instructed to convey the same. The Inspector in his report drew attention to the state of the grounds and fences. It was decided to have this matter attended to at once. Considering that the committee had a small surplus it was decided to purchase a football for the boys. All accounts were passed for payment.
