Paterangi Rifle Club.
The members of the Paterangi Rifle Club fired for the Blackmore and McMiken trophies on Saturday last. The annual meeting was held the same day, and Mr W. Rothwell, of Tuhikaramea, was elected captain for the ensuing year.
The following were the scores for the trophies; — Mr R. Vickers, 10 points handicap, 45; Mr D. Bruce, scr, 43; Mr J. Hodgson, 3 points. 43; Mr C. Vickers, scr, 40; Captain Rothwell, 3 points, 34; Mr W. Caitcheon, 10 points, 34.
