(liY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Last Night. According to the public accouuts pub« lished in the Gazette, the balance re« maining to the Public Works Fund on June 30 was £500,342. Tho aold return for the half year is £977.821, agaiest £889,450 last year. Of this Auckland supplied £400,204. The Customs duties for the quarter amounted to £551,225, against £497 523 last year. Auckland contributed £139,502. The boer duty was £22,676, against £22,064 last) year. Auckland contributed £5,710.
