FOOTBALL.

Orjß Maungatautari correspondent writes that considerable interest is now being taken here as to the results of the Cambridge Union matches. At present Maungatautari and Cambridge West stand level with three wins and one loss. It speaks well for the forbearance and fairmindedness of our men that; they havo not yet put an opponent out of action. Yet., in almost every other match our men have considerably knocked about, in some cases with serious results. Preparations are already being made to give as good a ' spread ' as possible to the Cambridge West team in return for the tine one our men were treated to by them.
