THE CABINET CHANGES.

(BV TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Christchuboh, Laßt Night. Tub Lyttelton Times, commenting on the Cabinet reconstruction, objects to the Premier assuming control of further departments, and calls upon him to appoint Mr McNab Minister of Education. The appointment would be applauded by both sides of the House, and would give the keenest satisfaction to the public. Even those merrbers who are clamouring for more representation lor the North Island in the Cabinet could urge nothing but their insular prejudice against such an excellent choice, but Mr Seddon knows Mr McNab, and knows the popular feeling as well us we do, and we prefer, as we have just said, to believe that he has taken the portfolio himself merely as a temporary measure. The paper forecasts the resignation of Mr DuDcau, and the appointment of Mr Hogg to the portfolio of Lands, and expresses hitter disappointment at the call of Mr Pitt to the Cabinet.
