TO THE EDITOR Sir,—Kindly afford me space tor a few email corrections in your report of my undress at Ngoruawahia on the 21st /inst. ’ Tho subject of my address was not ‘.Land and Taxation,’ but ‘ Land, its Tenure and Taxation,’ For ‘The land belongs to individuals gpllcctively,’ read ‘ community eoliectively.’ .For ‘ Means must be devised to do away with the unearned increment,’ read, 1 Means must be devised to prevent land being hold for merely speculative purposes.’ v For 1 They would liud that the land Mould bo'just as highly taxed as cVcr,’ read, * They vvpuid lose their laud.aUd then he taxed just as highly as ever.’ For 1 Could not be altered for four years,’ read, 1 Three years.V;’’T For * The single- taxers wer‘e Seeking to lower the whole tenure of land,’-read,-. * Alter the tenure,’—l am, etc., / UEL VaILE.
