THE ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
(by telegraph—press association). Auckland, Last Night. The Australian entries for the. New Zealand Championships have been declined. The Welshmen and Queenslanders thought they were ineligible to compete at this meeting. The Victoiinns had entered but dropped out, as they would otherwise have had an advantage. Their conduct is applauded as moat sportsmanlike.
