* (BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, Last Night, The community was profoundly stirred when it became known that Mr John W right, a member of Wright, Steven son, and Co., had been the victim of a terrible accident. While superintending some new machinery in the firm's bone manufacture depot near the wharf he was caught in the belting, and before the machinery could be stopped w’hs whirled at a great rate round the shafting. He had both legs and one arm broken, besides his body being shockingly mutilated. He leaves a wife and two children. Wellington, Last Night. Daniel V. Doaaeter was fined £5 at the Magistrate’s Court to day for having falsely pretended to be a doctor of medicine, and £1 for distribution of circulars contrary to the Offensive Publications Act.
