THE MATCH AGAINST VICTORIA. (Received November IS, 10.25 p.m.) Melbourne, November IS. Heavy ram fell this morning. The Englishmen continued their second innings, knocking up 174, Hayward 38 and Lilley 19 being the chief additional scores. McLeod and Collins each took five wickets for 57 and 58 respectively. The Victorians, requiring 208 runs to win, began their second innings on what was a bowler’s wicket, but later in the day the ground improved. Yet they could do nothing against Barnes, and the whole eleven were disposed of for 89. Graham (26) and Stuckey (37) were the on y batsmen to reach double figures. Baines took 7 wickets for 38 runs.
