HAMILTON BOWLING CLUB.
A meeting of the members of the newlyformed Hamilton Bowling Club was held in the Hamilton Hotel, last evening, Dr, A. S. Brewis (President) in the chair.
The provisional committee reported that they had arranged with Mrs Taylor te lease the green at £s*per annum from year to year, and to take over the roller, mower, and three sets of balls for £lo, The action of the committee was approved. The rules as drafted by the committee were approved, with slight alterations, and adopted. They provide for an annual subscription fee of one guinea, and an entrance fee of one guinea after October Ist, 1902. The secretary was instructed to communicate with the Hamilton Borough Council with the object of obtaining a lease of a portion of Hillsborough Terrace for 21 years, the Council to have the right of re-entry at any time on pay for the improvements. It was decided to hold the formal, opening on the green on Wednesday, the 27th inst,, hut the green will be available iu the meantime. The President, vice-Prcsidents, lion, secretary, lion, treasurer, green superintendent, and Messrs A. E. Manning, J. Volkner and T. Chappell were appointed a committee of management, and they were instructed to arrange for a caretaker.
