AVONDALE RACES. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 Auckland, Saturday. The Avondale Spring Meeting was held in fine weather. The course was io splendid order, and there was a large attendance. The following are the results Maiden Plate.— Glasgow 1, Sparkling Water 2, Progee 8. Won by half-a-longth. Dividends: £1 15s and £1 3s. Hurdles.— Regalia 11. 1, Chancellor 11. 2, Cavaliero 3. Won easily. Dividends : £1 13s and £2 Bs. Avondale Stakes.— Grey Seaton 1, Idas 2, Spalpeen 3 A great race. Won by a head. Dividends : £1 lls and £5 I9s. Cop.—Nonettc 1, Beddington 2, Bluejacket 3. Scratched: Coronet and Rosolla. Formula led to the straight where Nouette forged ahead and won by halfa-lougth. Time, 2miu. llsec. Dividends : £5 2s and lls. Hack Handicap, five furlongs Jewellery 1, La Polish 2, Golden Rose 3. Time, limn. ssec. Dividends: £1 I4s and £1 9s. Handicap Steeplechase, abmt three miles.—Voltigeur 11. 1, Sudden 2, Tarragon 3.
