DEATH OF COLONEL FRASER.
(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Thames, Last Night. Colonel Fraser, Sergeant-at-Arms in the House of Representatives, died at his residence, Tararu, Thames, to-day, at the age of 73 years, Colonel Fraser was compelled to return from Wellington after the commencement of the session, on account of ill health. He had previously suffered a slight stroke ot paralysis, which brought on complications. Deceased was colonel in the New Zealand Volunteers, and saw service in the Waikato war. He was elected to the Provincial Council, and was for some time Warden of the Thames district. He afterwards entered Parliament, being elected three times. He was appointed Sergeant-at-Arma seven years ago.
