HOUSE PARADE.
Quk Ohaupo correspondent writes ; —At the last Te Awamuln tale stud horses were in evidence no less than five being paraded tor inspection. Mr J. Pollard’s Earl of Salisbury, is new to the districts , n d was on view for the first time. He iss a fine looking horse, but would do with! a little more condition, which no doubts can be easily remedied. He stands 17S hands high andjis rising 7 years old, with i good pedigree, aud ought to be a suit-! able horse for the district. ] Mr W. Taylor’s new importation; Chief Commander, also had his ad-j .miiers. Ho is only a baby three years old iud bids fair to develop into a magnificent horse. He, I understand will alsol travel this district. I I Mr P. O’Connor’s Major Fleming, another real good horse, was on viow. I can apeak highly of this horse as his stock can been inspected. Two trotting stallions were also paraded Mr Hollingshead’s Atlas and D. Williamson’s Pleasant Toni and all had their admirers. Evidently stud Smasters appear to do their utmost in I [jetting a good class of horse in the disStrict, and given good mares the Waikato Sought to take the lead for horse breeding in New Zealand.
