(TmsoAY— Before H. W. Norrhcrott, Esq., S.M.) Cruelty to Animals—C. L. Sutton nk-aded guilty to this charge and was deed 40* and costs. Offensive Language.—Edward Wall was charged with using offensive lanaunge to Samuel Teas. —Mr Dyer appeared for the accused and pleaded guilty, but urged that 'he language had been used iu the heat of elect o i. excitement. —The Magistrate sail there was too much bad language used in the streets, and Wall \>as old enough to control himself. A Hue of 40s and costs 2Ks was inflicted, time hi iog granted tor payment. Evans v. Taylor.—Judgment debt, costs £l4 5s 9d, arising rut of a case in conueotiou with a horse transaction, heard previously. Mr A. Swarbriok appeared for the judgment creditor, and ou his application the case was adjourned for a fortnight to allow of the judgment debtor paying over mouey in hand. Kklly v. McMahoN.—Judgment summons. Mr Swarbriok appeared for the judgment creditor. An order was rrade for piyment io be made before 12th June, or in default seven days' imprisonment. In a number of undefended dpbt Cifes judgment was given for plaintiffs for the amounts claimed and costs.
