HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The Hamilton 'Borough Cauucil sat last evening as a Burgess List Revision Court. There were pteseut ; His Worship the Mayor (Mr George Kdgecunibe), Crs. Dyer, Tippin, Salmon, Davey, Bond, and Manning. The Clerk reported that the list had been open for inspection for the statutory time and there had been no objections. The Clerk then read the list, which comprised nearly 700 names. After one or two small amendments the roll as read was approved and closed, and the Mayor and Crs. Cond and Dyer were appointed to sign it. Cr. Bond proposed that tenders he called for printing the roll, to be dealt with by the Finance Committee. Seconded by Cr. Manning. This was eartied, an amendment by Cr. Salmon that the Council deal with the tenders not being seconded. An adjourned meeting of the Council was then held to consider the reports c.f the Legal and Endowment Committees. Legal Rktqut.—The Lejjal Committee recommended that the lease for the allotments adjoining the Council Chambers as drafted by Mr O'Neill lie approved. —The Mayor moved that the report be received and adopted.— Seconded by Cr. Dyer and carried.
