WEDDING AT TE AWAMUTU.
A pretty wedding took place in St John's Anglican Church, To Awamutu, yesterday afternoon, when Miss Ro3i Ethel, the third daughter of SerueuntMttjor Curie}', of To Awamutu, and Mr William T. Walli', of Pukeriniu, wen: joined together in holy matrimony. Long before the hour appointed, crowds were seen making their way to the old church, while buggy loads of friends and others came from Cambridge, Itangiaohia, Kihikihi, Ohaupo, and l'e Rahu, where both the contracting parlies arc well known. The church was lust- fully decorated with flowers, etc, and the usual wedding bell hung from the budding. The decorating was done by the members of the choir, of which the bride was formerly a member. The service, which was partly choral, was conducted by the Kev F. Latter, whils Mrs Latter presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked exceedingly pretty. She wis attired in white figured silk, wreath of orange blossoms and veil, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Stela and Hilda (little sisters of the bride) and Elsie Hunter (uetee). The)' were dressed in white silk and wore Leghorn bats. Stella carried a basket of flowers and the town little ones shepherdesses'crooks. Mr John Scott, of Pukeriniu, acted as best man. The mother of the bride wore black and helitrope, Mrs Ceo. D. Hunter (sister of the bride), black costume, blue chiffon ; Miss Carley, pretty pink costume, with jem hat ; Miss J. Carley, pink ami white dress, picture hat ; Misses Mabel and Ruth Carley, white dresses, bats trimmed with rale green and pnik flowers ; Mrs Wallace, electro-blue costume ; Mrs O. Hunter (cousin of the bridegroom), an exceedingly pretty white costume, black and white picture hat; Miss Wallace, while and blue costume. Several other pretty costumes were noticed, which are '.oo numerous to mention. As the happy couple left the church the path was strem with rose leaves and the usual showers of rice greeted them as they drove away with their relatives nnd friends to the residence of the bride's mother, where they were entertained to afternoon tea in a large marquee erected for the purpose. The wedding presents were numerous, handsome and useful. Afrcr the departure of the bride and hridgfgrooni on their honeymoon tour Miami Mrs Carley entertained a laree parly during the evening. We wish the ycuug couple louij life and prosperity.
