LORD HOPETOUN.

The Victoria-, attended by the Royal Arthur, has arrived after a rough passage. Lord Hopetouu told an interviewer that be had not much improved since ho left Fremantle, but he thought a fortnight in Sydney would restore him. He looks very ill and weak aud walked with the assistauce of a stick. He was so exhausted by the exertion of transferring from the steamer to the warship that the visits of the Governor and Ministers and the other reception ceremonies were curtailed in consequence. The Royal ArtHur sailed for Sydney iu the afternoon. Lord Hopetoun's two son 3 proceed overland. (tteoeiveJ December 11, 9.40 a.m), Sydney, Decumber 11. Lord Hopetoun wires Mr Lynue that tho arrangements for his official landing at 11 a.m.' on Saturday will suit well. He adds that he is better, but tor the rough trip from Fremantle which checked further improvement.
