KIHIKIHI.
Creamery.—The total supply of milk to the Kihikihi creamery for the month January was 35,680 gallons from 30 supnli rs. The average supply is consider ably below one thousand gallwT, and the average tests are not nearly so high as it might be generally expected at this time of the year. Rabbit Day.— The usual monthly rabbitskin pay-day was on Wednesday last, when the number of skins brought in by the natives was about equal to that of last month. Ouu Volunteers.— Considerable enthusiasm is shown here over the projected departure of the 3rd No 2 contingent, especially as several, if not moat, of our boys who have volunteered and are now in Auckland, having undergone the medical examination, are likely to be finally accepted. Bosh Fires. —Mr McGechie and Mrs McDonald will be serious loosers by the dry weather, as the beslt (or rather the bush land) on their farms has been on fire for several weeks. A great many acres of their best grazing have already been destroyed, and the fi.ro is still spreading rapidly.
