DALEY’S ESTATE.

(by telegraph -press association). Auckland, Last Night. The Official Assignee, Mr John Lawson, accompanied by Mr Jabcz Bunting and his solicitor, proceeded to Mount Eden Gaol for the purpose of examining, upon oath, Charles Grant Daley, in consequence of the return of the debtor. The examination of the other witnesses has been deferred for the present, as Daley’s statement may furnish information that in his absence would have had to be obtained elsewhere. It will take sometime to ascertain the actual position of the estate. One auctioneer has notified Mr Lawson that he holds £3OO on account of goods sold for Daley.
