The Cambridge Eleven met the Hamilton 11. Eleven on Sydney Square, Hamilton, yesterday. The day was an ideal one for cricket, and considerable interest was centred in the game. In their first innings the Hamiltoniaus made 29 ritu.3, Arblaster taking six wickets for niue runs aud Brinile two for 16. Cambridge retaliated with 63. P. Howard played a careful game and carried his bat for 21, while C. Arblaster contributed 12. J. Hammond took six wickets for 28 runs, and W. Hammond three for 27. Hamilton went again to the wickets and knocked up 43, Wilkiuson beiug the highest scorer with 12. Brindle captured five wickets for 19, and Langmuir three for 23. Cambridge required only 10 runs to win, but it was decided to play the match out, aud in their second attempt they scored 33, Cooper being the chief contributor with 15, thus winning the game by 24 runs.
