Post-office. -Business at our local postoffice has increased so much of late that o r Postmaster lias been obliged to ask for futther assistance, and Miss Vause—who has had previous experience in tli • work of the office—has been appointed temporarily aa assistant. The amount of busine s done at the Tc Awan.utu Office at any time keeps the staff quite fully employed and should wan ant a permanent assistant being appointed. This would obviate any cause tor complaint on the part of the public at the hitherto unavoidable delay sometimes experienced in petting attended to at the Post-office counter.—(Own Correspondent).
