DR. BARNARDO'S HOMES.

Sympathisers with the noble work carried on by Dr. Barnardo in London, will be interested to learn that it has recently been incorporated under the Board of Trade, under the tho tittle of "The National Incorporated Association for the reclamation of destitute waif children, otherwise known as Dr. Barnaido's Homes." Tho step his been taken by the founder under able advice, for the purpose of placing the work on a wider and more permanent basis, and providing for its continuance on the Hues originally designed and with proper financial supervision. Tho important interests at stake (for the property of the Institution was recently valued at £183,021), and the great responsibility y"'£ktiA in cariug for, and efficiently truing a family of 5,000 are sufficient reasons for placing the concern on an enduring foundation. The work is now recognised as a national one, the children are admitted from all parts of Britain and her dependencies, and as the above title is too lengthy for ordinary use the short title will appropriately be "The National Waif's Association," or N.W.A. At this season many friends of the cause in this district usually send donations, and such will be gladly received by Mr F. J. Brooks, Bank of New Zealand, Cambridge, and duly forwarded.
