CRICKET.
ATamcelingof "The Moana" Cricket Club he'd in Hamilton last evening the following officers were elected : President, Mr A. Swarbrick ; vicePresidents, Messrs R. J. Gwynne, Win. Oldham and Wm. Bright; captain, Mr M. R. Oliver; vice-captaiu, Mr A. B. Heather; delegates to the Union, Messrs Oliver and Heather ; committee, Messrs Varney, L. Evans and P Kirk ; selection comn.it tee, Messrs Oliver, Heather, Varney, L. Evans and P. Kirk. The annual subscription was fixed at ss, and the colours chosen were navy blue. A meeting of "The Toilers" Cricket Club was also held last evening, when the following officers were elected for the ensuing season: Pretident, l)r Douglas ; vicQ-Prcsident, Messrs W. T, Davidge, R. Speocer, G. V V. Sare, R. F. Sandes, J. Edgecumbe and H. H. Howden ; selection committee, Messrs W. von. Stunner, J. McCrea and J. Ham mood ; delegates of the union. Messrs C. Blackburn and 11. Bockett; secretary and treasurer. Mr T. Creighton. Tho colours chosen were amber and black and the subscription was fixed at ss. The annual meeting fof the Te Awamutu Cricket Club was he'd on Wednesday evening iust. The attendance was not very larjjc. Mr Burton presided. The Secretary read the accounts for the past year, showing a credit of ;Ci 17s Gd. Th.; highest batting average was obtained by Geof. Bcwdeii, viz., 13, 9 innings for lo" 7 runs. F. Bowdeu came out on top in bowling analysis, getting 62 wickets for 171 runs, an average of 2'7 runs per wicket. Mr G. Bowden consequently gets Mr R. Hampton's bat. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year :—-President, Mr James Cottrell ; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs C. J. Storey, P. O'Connor, \Y. Taylor, F. Gibson and Dr. Pairmau ; Captain, Mr C. Bowden (re-elected ; Vice-captain, Mr Geo. Blaekett ; Com mittee, Messrs Burton, R. Hampton, T. Bond and S. Bond ; Secretary and Treasurer-, Mr C. Bowden ; Delegates, Messrs S. and T. Bond. It was decided to procure some new matting for the ensuing year. The Club had a most; successful season, winning the Association caps for the second time in succession, and during last season won every match. The usual vote of thanks to the outgoing officers and committee closed the meeting. I
