TE AWAMUTU.
Athletic Club. —The annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Amateur Athletic Clnl> hub held on Wednesday evening last. The attendance of members and others was very fair. Mr H. Burton pretided. The committer's leport for tlie yoar «- considered mos - satisfactory. Tin-balance-sheet reud l.y the. Treasurer showed a credit of £3 2* sd, after paying for new hurdle* and work on the domain ground, prepiuing the track, etc. The following is the statement of receipts and expenditure for the past year:— Receitps : President and vice-Piesident's subscriptions, £ls 17s ; gates £l2 Os 3d ; members subscriptions and entries, £ll 4s 6d; programmes, £1 10s ; total, £4O Us 9J. Expenditure : Prizes, £24 ; affiliation fees, £3 3s ; hurdles, £2 9* 9d ; adveitising £4 8s 6d ; stamps, etc., 16s 6d ; gatekeeper, 8s fid; labour on ground, £1 ; Aubin and Co., 8s Id ; Domain wire, 15s 2d ; credit balance, £3 2s 5d ; total, £4O lls 9d. On the motion of Mr H. Weal, seconded by Mr Rimtner, the balancesheet was adopted. After sonio discussion it wa3 unanimously decided to hold the sports on the club's usual day, 9th November. The following officers were e'ectcd for the ensuing year .- Patron, Mr F. W. Lang, M.H.R. ; President, Mr Wm. Taylor ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs P. O'Conoor, C. J. Storey, W. G. Park, Geo. A bier, H. Goodfellow, J. S. Philips, J. Hutchinson, J. H. Mandeno, Wm. North, Henry Lewis, F. Gibson, J. Fathurst, W. J. Hunter, A. Swarbrick, ])r. Pairn.an, A. Wallace, J. Cottrell, C A. Bowde.H, Geo. Churches, Geo. McCullagh, R. B. Brown, J. Coulthard, Dr. Hoskin, J Teddy, A. Uloth, and H. Rountree ; Judges, Meters W. Taylor and P. O'Connor ; Starter, Mr H. Weal; lieftree, Mr Geo. Blackett; Secretary, Mr C. Bowden ; Treasurer, Mr D. Bockett; Committee, Messrs Burton, Weal, Bowdec, Churches, Rimmer, Taylor, Westney, Bond, Matthews, F. Bond and Bockett.—A meeting of the newlyelected committee will be held at an early date in order to draw up the pro gramme of sports. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the _ outgoing officera and all others who assisted during the past year, and also to the members of the Te Awamutu Band for their valuable services rendered at the sports. —(Own Correspondent).
