FOOTBALL.
HAMILTON V. RAGLAN. On Saturday next the last match of the Beason will be played on Sydney Square, when a team from Raglan will try conclusions with the Hamilton Club. The following will represent the latter teum : Full-back Hamill : three quarters— Bockctt, Kirk, Hill; five-eighth F. Johnson ; half - Black ; wings—lnnis and Moore ; forwards—Blackwell, Dodd, Coates, Williamson, Elliott, Windsor, Evans. Emergencies Backs : Edgecumbe and R. Wright. Forwards :J. Moore and S. Hughes. A collection will be taken up on the ground. Bayly, who tipped Barney Armit over, in a eon of tho late Thomas Bayly, of Waitara, who rose to be a very wealthy man through hard graft aad speculating in Taranaki lands. Young Bayly is also well off, and is bitterly depretsed at the terrible accident. It is reported he has sworn off football. He has acted us a thorough white man, tho best medical talent in Dunedin being engaged for Armit, and no expense spared. Further, Bayly intends to maintain Armit, if ho lives and is incapable ; in case ho should die he will support the mother. Next to Armit himself, Bayly is the subject of general sympathy.
