MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

The electiou of three members to tho Hamilton Borough Council, took place on Thursday. Considerable interest was taken in the business, and both parties worked hard tor their ticket. The result was :J. A. Young, 176; R. W. Dyer, 161 ; Thomas Slade, 161 ; Robert Parr, IoS ; R. J. Gwynne, 152 ; Thomas Chappel, 135. There were four informal voting papers. The first three named above were declared duly elected by the Returning Officer (Mr C. J. W. Barton). Mr E. Hope ucted as poll clerk and Me srs Castletor, Andrews and Kinloch as scrutineers.

After the declaration of the poll, Messrs Young, Dyer, Slide, Gwynne and Parr nave short addresses, thanking those who had voted for them. AUCKLAND CITY. The following have been returned for the different wards : North Ward, J. H. Hannan ; South Ward, Robert Tudehope ; Knrangahape Ward, J. Jamieson ; Ponsonby Ward, C. J. Parr ; Grafton Ward, J. Paterson.
