PIRONGIA.
Milk Business.—The deed of agreement between the milk suppliers of the Alexandra creamery ai>d Messrs Ambury, English and Co. for the purchase of milk is now being signed here ; all but five I am informed of the suppliers have come into the new arrangement. The terms for milk supplied are from September to March, 7Jd per lb. of butter fat; April, 8d per lb. and May 9d per lb. to September. The season to commence on September Ist, 1899. Mr Westly Spragg has also issued a circular to the suppliers here, in which he expresses his intention to stick to those who remain faithful to his firm, and hia intention to visit them here after, bis libel case is adjudicated upon ; and also if the use of the Alexandra creamery is to be taken from him, to erect another in a suitable position. Volunteeb Ball. —The Volunteer ball to take place here under the auspices of the officers, non-commissioned officers and men of the No. 2 Company of the Waikato Mounted Rifles, on the 23rd inst., is expected to be the ball of the season.
