Cbeameey The total supply of milk to the local creamery for the month of April, was slightly over fourteen thousand gallons (14,000). I have notheard of any of our local suppliers who intend sending their milk next season to the proposed creamery at Te Awemutu, to be opened by Messrs Ambury and English. Town Board. —The usual meeting of the Kihikihi Town Board was held on Friday last, in the Board's office. There was a full attendance of members.—Correspondence : Letter from Mr E. Farrell, Huntly, promising to have his fence trimmed as requested by the Board.— Letters from the Department of Agriculture, notifying the Board of their intention to appoint a veterinary inspector for the district.—The Clerk was instructed to reply that the Board was at present at no expense in the matter, the only vendors of milk in the district being those supplying the creamery who have their own inspector.—A letter was received from the Valuation Department re valuation roll.—Gravel : C. Thomson's tender at 4s 6d per cubic yard, which wns the only one received, was accepted —Works:—Mrs Kerr having requested some repairs to the house occupied by her it was decided to have same done. The following resolutions were passed : (1) That the Clerk be authorised to apply to the Bank of New Zealand for an overdraft of £lB to meet the interest on loan due May Ist, (2) that Mr Ross have eight nine inch pipes at 2s 6d each ; (3) that Mr Elmsly be allowed five six inch pipes for purpose of forming an approach to the Presbyterian Church. The following works were authorised to be carried out : Improvements to the street opposite Mrs Corboy's property ; repairs to road and pipe culvert to be raised and cleaned in Grey-Steet ; similar repairs to culverts in McAndrew-Street and opposite Mr Thomson's ; watertables in LyonStreet from Mr Doyle's to McAndrewStrect to be cleaned out.—Accounts: The following accounts were passed for payment:—Petty cash, £1; R. McDonnell, £1 18s Cd ; Ellis and Burnaud, £4 10s 5d ; R. Mainwaring, 19s. Rabbit Day.—Wednesday last was the usual rabbitskin pay day, there was a great falling off in the number of ekins brought in.—Own Correspondent.
