INSPECTION OF DAIRIES.
(BT TELEGRAPH—PBESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. The Agricultural Department continues to receive replies in favour of the Government undertaking ths dairy inspection, couplrd, however, with some anxiety as to the cost. No proposal on this head will be made till ail the replies are received. The utrongest opposition to the project is from settlers in the Hutt Valley, who deride any attempt to work up what they call a tuberculosis scare, though they admit the disease was prevalent to some extent.
