Yesterday.—(Before Captain Jaokson, S.M). Police v. Hamil.—This was an information laid by Constable McPhee against the defendant for being drunk while in charge of a horse. —Mr Swarbrick appeared for the defendant, who. on his counsel's advice, pleaded guilty.— Find 10s with 7s costsC. A. Taylor v. P. E. Stevens.—On this case beihg called, Mr Swarbrick, who appeared for the defendant, stated that he had pointed out to the plaintiff, who was not represented.by counsel, that the action had been improperly brought as Mr Taylor had no power to sue on behallf of the School Committeeallof whom should have been made plautiffs and that Mr Taylor wished to withdraw the case.— The Magistrate said that on looking at the claim he himself had seen that plantiff could not proceed with his action. The case was withdrawn. Debt Cases.—The court was occupied the greater par* of the day by numerous debt cases of uo public interest. Mr Gresham and Mr Swarbrick appeared for the several plaintiffs.
