TVTGAROTO DRAINAGE DISTRICT. Pr.blic notice is hereby given chat the Ngaroto Drainage Hoard intend at a meeting of the Board, to be held at t'b Board's Office, Te Awamutu, on TUES DAY, the 25th day of April, 1899, at 5 p.in , to CONFIRM the following resolution, passed at a Special Mee'.imr of the Board on the 25th day of March, 1599 : "Resolved that a Special Kate be hereby made to provide interest and sinking fund for a loan of £SOO to be raised under the provis'ons of ' The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 18S6 " Such rate to be a continuing rate for a period of twenty-six years, commencing the first day of April, 1890, and to be levied on the lands within the Ngaroto Drainage District for eacli of the said twenty-six years, commencing the first day of April in each year, as follows :—One Penny in the Pound on the rateable value of lands classed as receiving, or supposed to receive, immediate and direct benefit; One Halfpenny in the Pound on the rateable value of lauds classed as receiving, or supposed to receive, less direct benefit; and ONE-uifiiiTii of a Penny in ihe Pound on the rateable value of lands classed as receiving only indirect benefit from the construction of drainage works, and to be payable in one sum on the first day of May in each year; the first of such payments being due od the first day of May, 1899.
