(l?Y TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION). Auckland, Laßt Night. The body of David Jones, one of the victims of the Takatn Point boating accident, was found to-day. John Dcrwent was found drowned at Matakana Creek. There are no details.
The residence of Wm. Munro, a farmer at Pukekohe, has been burned down. The house was insured for £l5O and the furniture for £l5O in the Standard Office. The New Zealand Accident Insurance Company has taken up the Devonport drainage loan of £17,500. At the iuquest on McCauley, who was killed by the falling of a tree, a verdict of accidental death, with no blame attachable to anybody was returned. At a meeting of employers an Industrial Association was formed.
The Government intend to throw another block of King Country land of 5000 acres open for settlement.
