According to tho latest accounts, 12 feuiale3 and two males perished in the Windsor Hotel fire, and 33 females and IT males were injured. It is estimated that jewellery valued at 1,000,000 dollars, the property of guests, was lost. One lady suffered the loss of 200,000 dollars in this way. The firemen displayed great gallantry in rescuing people, and in other ways. During the progress of the fire many guests displayed great heroism and self-sacrifice. A lady teaching dancing on the second floor, coolly marched all the children downstairs. There were 212 guests and 350 employees in the building when the fire broke out. The police theory is that the fire was caused by thieves, two outbreaks having occurred. (Received March 22, 5 p.m.). New York, March 21.
