WORKMEN'S HOMES.
[united press association.] (by electric telegrapn—copyright). London, March 15. Mr Chamberlain has introduced a House Purchase Bill, which provides for advances to workmen to secure their homes. The authorities are empowered to advance £240 on a house worth £3OO, with a nominal rate of interest.
