The annual report of the Trade and Labour Council shows that solid progress has been made, but the financial position is none too satisfactory. The establishment of a newspaper in the interests of labour is urged and also a reduction of the duties or the necessaries of life. The report, which will be discussed at a future meeting, suggests that certain legislation is necessary for trades.
