TRADE AND LABOUR COUNCIL.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, Last Night. The annual report of the Trade and Labour Council shows that solid progress has been made, but the financial position is none too satisfactory. The establishment of a newspaper in the interests of labour is urged and also a reduction of the duties or the necessaries of life. The report, which will be discussed at a future meeting, suggests that certain legislation is necessary for trades.
