Tub Premier has cabled the Austrian Consul at Wellington that the Austrians have been warned by the "West Coast people that there are a hundred men out of employment there, and the wages are low. The steamship companies have been warned that they will be required to find a bond of £IOO for every person, Austrian or other, landed, if likely to become a charge on the State.
