RANGIAOHIA.

Wedding.—The following is a clipping from the Mauawatu Evening Standard, and of interest to our local readers :—A very pretty wedding was celebrated yesterday at the Cuba-street Church, the contracting parties being Mr John Ingham, of Manutahi, and Miss Gertrude Canton, the fourth daughter of MiGeorge Canton, of Palmerston. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr YV'rigley, and the church was nicely decorated for the purpose, and was well filled with friends and wall-wishers of the happy pair. The bride, who was given away by. Mr George Canton, her brother, was prettily dressed in grey lustre trimmed with orange blossoms, and she was attended by her two bisters, Misses Rosamond aDd Ethel Canton, as bridesmaids, who looked very nice in pale blue dresses, trimmed with pink silk and hats to match, carrying pretty bouquets, the gift of Mr Shailer, while Mr Thomas Miller acted in tho capacity of best man. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many congratulations before they left for their new home by the evening traio. The bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr J. M. Ingham, of Rangiaohia. Picnic.—The annual school picnic passed off most successfully under the able management of the popular headmaster, Mr J. S. Phillips, who, along with Mrs Phillips, are now enjoying their holidays at Raglan.-(Own Correspondent). _^____«___«
