Reward ou returning to Bright'a Hotel. [CIKCULAK.] JEW ZEALAND DAIRV ASSOxN CIATION. Auckland, November 28th, 1893. To Milk Suppliers,— I have now completed the round of the Creameries of the Upper Waikato, and have to thank the suppliers for the generally cordial reception which they have given me, for the confidence which they have expressed in my Association, and for the requests that we will continue business in their districts. Since my first visit 1 have exchanged cable messages with Loudon upon the results of my visits, and all negotiaitons for the disposal of any part of our business have now bitn finally withdrawn and will not, under any circumstances, be again opened through any agents. Should the body of Suppliers in either> or both, of the districts which we occupy at aDy time desire to acquire our business for themselves I will then deal with them direct. Ycu will please accept the above as my final reply to the several proposals containing impracticable conditions, and to the mauy foolish statements and rumours which are, I understand, current in the Upper District. Dealing with business, I now repeat promises which I have made duru-g my recent visits : Ist—That the sum of £2OOO .vhich we have allotted for bonus payments upon the larger supplies of milk, as set out in our circular of September, shall be paid upon the average of eight months' supply, from September to April inclusive, and omitting May ; 2nd.—That should the standard of average? mentioned in the circular above referred to prove to have been fixed too high to enable suppliers to claim the total sum of £2OOO, then such reduction shall be made in the quantity required to q. alify for the bonus as will enable us to allot the full sum ; 3rd. —That all records of testing, and all requirements for cheeking the same, shall at all times be open for the investigation of suppliers, and that evidence as ;o the average pr ces paid for milk for the past and coining seasons, and of the full due payment of bouus amounts, and all other reasonable information shM be tqually open to scrutiny ; 4th.— That the testing of milk may be doue either at the Creameries or at the Ceutrnl Testing Station, or, if it can be arranged, by Mr Pond, Analyst, Auckland, or by any other proper person, or under any proper supervision which may be decided upon, p.ovided that one-half the expense of testing done by others than our own emp'oyej'j shall be borne by suppliers ; sth. — I repeat, briefly, that subject only to suppliers desiring to take over our business lor themselves, we shall continue for them the present assured running of the Creameries in all places at present occupied by us. While, for obvious reason?, this circular is intended chiefly for our Suppliers in the Upper Waikulo, all its provisions will include and app'y to the whole of our Creameries and Suppliers wherever situated.
