WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board took place laat Saturday. Present : Messrs W. : P. Chepmell (in the cluir), A. Aitken, J. C. Allen and T. Bellamy. 'j Deposit Forfeited. The Engineer reported that Mr A. Bossens had not taken up his contract on MailDgatapu Road.—The deposit was forfeited and the contract re-let to Mr D. Bell at £lO 10s.
Manawaku Contkact.—The Engineer reported that Mr P. O'Grady is getting on satisfactorily with his contract at Manawaru. Stanley Road.—A letter was received from Mr S. Whitburn, calling attention to repairs required on Stanley Road, near Johnson's creek bridge.— The Engineer reported that the road had now been repaired. Impounding.— The Board resolved that any member be empowered to impound horses and cattle wandering at large on the road 3 in the Waitoa Road District.
Works. —The engineer was instructed to invite tenders for a number of works, get repairs done in several places, and inspect and report on other works. The following accounts were passed for payment: A. Bremner, £ll ISs 0J ; Jas. S. Master, £1 3s 2d ; F. Pavitt, £3 15s ;P. O'Grady, £25 ; O. McCabe, £3; J. La very, lHs ; W. Pevreal, £3 12s; S. Burge, £1 4s; R. Peterson, £2 13s.
