SUNDAY ISLAND.
(BY TELEGRAPH—rRESS association). Auckland, Last Night. An effort is being made by Messrs Bell and Rountree, settlers on Sunday Island (Kertnadec Group), to develop the resources of that island. The schooner Croyden Lass, now at Auckland, is to proceed shortly to Sunday Island, under Captain John Austin, and thence to Nine (Savage Island), in order to procure native labour for the cultivation of subtropical fruits, maize, etc.,on Sunday Island for export to Auckland.
