WAIKATO WEST INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
The Executive Committee met on Monday eveuing last to tabulate and check the large number of entries received. Competition in many of the classes, notably butter-making, cookery, and shirt-making, for which special cash prizes are offered, will probably be keen. Some additional special prizes were allocated to classes where the number of entries were large, and a draft catalogue of entries drawn up. The full catalouue, which includes many native exhibits, has now been closed and is being printed at Thk Argus office. These will be on sale at a low price at the exhibition. We are desired to remind the outsettlers that the exhibition will open at 12 o'clock noon, and will be open on the one day only, as it has been found impracticable to continue the show for a second day, as was desired. Among the numerous attractions will be a refreshment booth presided over by a ladies' committee, vocal and instrumental competitions in the Hall during the afternoon, shirt ironing competition and promenade concert, in which most of the best local taUnt will assist, during the evening.
