THE THREATENED WAR
(IIY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.— COPYRIGHT). Capetown, October 28. In the Cape Parliament, the Premier, Mr Schreiner, stated that communications had been exchanged with the Imperial authorities relative to the steps to be taken in the event of war with a European power, and that the Cape Government had been informed that it was unnecessary at present to mobilise the Cane forces.
