TE AWAMUTU.
Entertainment. —The entertainment in aid of the local football eluh, which takes place in the Town Hall to-morrow evening, promises to he one of the most successful held here for some time past. The first part of the programme will consist of vocal and instrumental selections by the very best talent in the district. We are also to receive some assistance from Otorohanga, while Mr Mnttison, who for many years travelled with the Elder Bros.', will perform the acrobatic song ana" dance in fancy costume, an item alone wor h coming a long distance to see. For the second part of the programme the Te Awamutu Theatre Royal Company will produce the lone looked for "The Burglar and the Judge," "Saveloy Joe" has come at last, together with Bertie St. Clair and Clerk. A dance will follow, and the committee have decided to provide some light refreshments. Those who fail to attend will miss the concert of the season. Tickets have been freely disposed of, so readers, if you want a comfortable seat, come early. Sheep-worrying. —Farmers have been troubled lately with strauge clogs worrying their sheep. Mr Anderson, of Thorncombe, had five killed at the beginning of the week, while Messrs Good - fellow Bros.' lost a number of lambs, and had others badly knocked about.—(Own Correspondent.)
