ANARCHISTS ARRESTED
PLOT AGAINST THE KAISER. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. COPYRIGHT). Alexandria, October 55. Nine Italian Anarchists have been arrested here. It is believed they contemplated the assassination of the Emperor of Germany and the Khedive. When it was learned that the Emperor had altered his intention to visit Egypt, two Anarchists were deputed to proceed to Port Said, en route to Syria. These men have not yet been arrested. A quantity of bombs were found in the possession of the men in custody. One of the Anarchists arrested was previously a waiter in Jerusalem. Berlin, October 16. The German Government has thanked Colonel Harrington, Commandant of the Police at Alexandria, for his action in arresting the Anarchists. The Emperor, hearing of the existence of a plot in Egypt, ordered special precautions to be taken during his visit to Vienna.
