CRICKET.
HAMILTON V. TAMAIIERE. A .match will be played on Sydney Square, Hamilton, on Saturday, between the above clubs. The Hamilton team will be chosen from the followin" players, viz. : —G. Mahou, Dean, Kinloch, Johnstone, Meachem, Barton. Ross, Evans, Douslin, Castleton, Kinaella, D'Arcy, Speight and J. Hammond.
The opening match of the Taupiri Cricket Club was played on Saturday last, and although the weather was rather cold for cricket a very enjoyable game ensued. The match was to have been Married v. Single,.but owing to the large majority of single it was decided to pick sides, which were chosen by Messrs W. Fuller and C. M. Gleeson. Notwithstanding the rather bad day, quite a number of ladies were present, who, as usual, were to the fore with afternoon tea, which was greatly appreciated. The following are the scores : Mr W.
