VISIT OF THE GOVERNOR TO WAIKATO.

On Tuesday last His Worship the Mayor of Hamilton (Mr Wm. Dey), received a telegram from His Excellency the Governor, Lord Ranfurly, asking him if it would be convenient for the citizens for him to pay an official visit to the Borough, on Thursday, 24th November. His Worship replied that the date would be suitable, and at the meeting of the Council to-morrow night, arrangements will be made for the suitable reception of His Excellency. Lord Ranfurly is to be in Auckland to open the Exhibition there at the beginning of December, and as he will journey overland from Wellington, he is taking the opportunily of official visiting the different districts through which he will pass. _^____^^___^
