The " Answers to Correspondents" were then proceeded with, and a report of a bogus meeting, condemning the local authorities for delay in commencing the new Public Hall, was read. The next article was a poem, " A Point Pressed Home," and was followed by humorous paper on " Time. 1 ' A piece of poetry, " A Dream," came next, followed by a short story, entitled *' For Friendship's Sake." An article on " The Study of Mankind " brought the journal to a close. Messrs Fitzpatrick and Hanlon spoke on several of the items, and Mr Morris criticised the paper on the *' Railway Agitation," and strongly advocated the Stratford route. The Chairman announced that the next meeting would be devoted to " Electioneering Speeches," and aheady seven candidates had sent in their names. This terminated the proceedings. New Teacher. .
