TE AWAMUTU.

CREAMERY.—A meeting of suppliers to the local creamery was held at the creamery buildings on Wednesday morning last. Mr Wallace Jones presided and read from the Waikato Argus the correspondence between Mr Wesley Spragg and Mr Martin Butler, Hon. Secretary of the Waikato Milk Suppliers Uniou. After a good deal of discussion a resolution was carried unanimously to the effect that Mr Spragg be informed that all correspondence must be done through the Waikato Union. It was •also decided that the suppliers as a bpjy refuse to sign the conditions unjil authorised by the Union. Some further discussion took place with regard to the testing of the milk, and it was decided that six suppliers at different times send samples of their milk to Mr Pond, of Auckland, to be tested. Church Matters.—A meeting of the parishioners in the Waikato West district was held in St. John's Church on Wednesday evening last to consider what steps are to be taken to secure a resident clergyman, owing to the removal of the Rev. Mr Kayll to St. Sepulchre's, Auckland. After discussion it was decided to engage Mr Paget, of Paeroa, for three months. Sale of Property.—Mr Henry Lewis has just completed the 6ale of his beautiful cottage and land, situated near the Presbyterian Church, the purchasers,being the trustees of the Presbyterian Church. The place has been purchased for the new Minister, the old Manse having been sold a short time back to Mr R. Bosanko. The price paid for the cottage and land is considered far below its value.

School.— The school committee have at laßt made final arrangements with the Board of Education for the purchase of Mr Lewis' allotments just opposite the school for a play ground. Blood Poisoning.—The many friends of Mr and Mrs Robert Cunningham, of Kaneiaohia, will regret to hear of the serious illness of their second son " Willie," who now lies in a very critical state, caused through blood poisoning. Some time back the lad received a slight scratch on the leg, and which was at first but a small wound and caused no anxiety. After a few days the place began to swell and gradually became worse and turned to blood poisoning. Doctors Pairman nnd Murdoch are in attendance.

Sports.—A meeting of the Amateur Athletic Club was held on Wednesday evening last, to decide as to whether sports should he held here on the usual day, the 9th November, the same day as the Waikato West Industrial Exhibition. After some discussion it was decided to hold the sports on the-same day on the Domain. The committee meet this evening to draw up programme, etc. Several subscription have already been promised by outsiders, and it is considered the meeting will be one of the most successful yet held.—(Own Correspondent).
