London, September 23. • FiIAKCK and Russia have accepted the suggestion of Admiral Canavaro, the Italian commander, for the settlement of the Cretan difficulty, subject to Lovd Salisbury's modification that the four Powers interested will only guarantee the safety of the Mohammedans to the extent that they are now protected by the Turkish troops. The Porte has despatched a circular to the Powers requiring the simultaneous disarmament of Christians in Crete along with Mussulmans. CANDIA, .September 24. Admiral Noel tries the rioters by court-martial. (Received September : ? (i,." 10 p.m.) CANDIA, September 25. The lenders of the Christians in Crete have promised the Foreign Admirals that the insurgents will disarm immediately the Turkish troops withdraw. (Received September 2G, S.oO p.m.) . London, September 25. Reuter reports that Great Britain, Russia, France and Italy are about to sign an agreement tor the pacification of Crete. The terms of the agreement will be conveyed as an ultimatum to the Sultan, and, unless he entirely agrees, the Powers will enforce its acceptance.
