" ROB ROY."
We beg to remind playgoers that the Hamilton Amateur Dramatic Company will produce the Scottish National Drama, " Rob Roy," in the Volunteer Hall, Hamilton, this evening. It will be remembered that ■' Rob Roy " was staged by the same company about five years ago, with the greatest possible success, and although' there have been several alterations iu the caste, rendered necessary by death and other causes, we have every reason to believe that the play will be staged in a manner quite equal to, if not better, than on the previous occasion. " Rob Roy " will be performed with all the original songs, choruses, dances, and new scenery and dresses have ben brought into requisition. The principal parts will be taken as follows :—Helen McGregor, Miss A. Coombea ; Diana Vernon, Miss Scorgie ; Jean McAlpine, Mrs \Y. Bright; Mattie, Miss N. Reid ; Martha, Miss J. Reid ; Rob Roy McGregor Campbell, Dr, Kenny ; Sir Frederick Vernon, Mr T. A. Ghappel; Rashleigh Osbaldistone, Mr G. Parr; Francis Osbaldi3tone, Mr J. Primrose: Captain Thornton, Mr W. H. Hnme ; Major Galbraith, Mr T. Slade ; Bailie Nicol Jaivie, Mr J. Reid. In addition to these there is quite a host of other characters, and with such a caste the .success of the entertainment is undoubtedly assured. Steady rehearsal has been carried on for some weeks, aud everything is now iu readiness for a creditable production of the evergreen drama. Prices of admission are 2s and Is, with a number of reserved seats at 3s each. A few of the latter still remain vacant, and we advise those who wish to make sure of a seat to make early application this morning. On Thursday evening the performance will be repeated at Cambridge.
